Take two...action

No clouds in my stones.... sorry little hova line playing off my title. Anyway. So I found this breath taking Japanese drawing of koi fish and I have had it as a rotating background piece on my mac for.......idk...2 years or so. Well I looked at it the other day and was like... that is perfect for an inkblot. So i took the main idea and redid it into a inkblot. This took a little bit of time and planning b.c. even though it is not an original fish drawing... I wanted to make it an original piece.

So I made five fish for the 5 years my wife and I have been dating and positioned them like an S for her first name.

Here it is:

WOW... definitely my favorite. I really put a lot into this one. Well enjoy.

GameCube

Well I knocked this one out pretty quick. I realized I don't have to put much detail into these b.c. I am going to black out and cover most of it. I don't know if I really like this one however, but I don't know where to go from here. It is my least favorite of the three so far, but I feel the more I do, the more I will realize what I don't like and redo the early ones again. I am already in the process of redo the goldfish one.

Anyway, here it is:

As you can see... I hope... it is a game cube controller. My little(est) brother is a video game FREAK! He is really good, beating games in hours times. I was going to do the Nintendo 64 controller b.c. it was created the year after he was born, but I decided to do the game cube b.c. that is when I realized he was REALLY REALLY good at video games. This time instead of free styling the ink blot, I looked up some inkblots and took elements of them and combined it with my own. We will see how this sits.

Other then this update, nothing really to report... just doing me.

Back in Action

Well I was out of commission for a week or so but now I am back and running. I had a friend come over and look at the computer, to see if it was indeed the power supply that I had to replace, not the motherboard. Well wouldn't you know it, I boot it up to show him that it doesn't work and it loaded up fine(for the most part). I didn't believe it. The only difference is that I plugged it into a different outlet. Guess the old outlet didn't have enough power to run the tower anymore, whatever.

Besides that I haven't been doing too too much. Still looking for that JOB. I got paid Yesterday for my freelance work. Finally, its all over with. I am happy it is over b.c. of all the hard work I put into it, but sad b.c. now I am back to no job at all, freelance or 9-5. sigh.

Well... tomorrows another day and we will see what it brings. It is my brothers birthday so I want to go down and see him, but we'll see. The Superbowl is Sunday so I don't know how much work i will be getting done between now and then. I wan to start working on my 3d modeling or animation so I might put my inkblots on hold, who really knows.

Aight well keep it real.

worst weekend(this year)

Well, what a hell of a weekend.
Friday started off with my wives dad dropping off her sister, which is cool, but for some reason she has developed a crazy attitude.  I know they say all teenager go through it, I don't remember going through it and well it wasn't too long ago.  Anyway, my wife always wants to spend time with her but this girl just doesn't seem to care or at least doesn't show it.

Sat was a relax day, hell I didn't wake up to about 2:30.  Let me make a little correction to that... I didn't get out of bed till 2:30... I was up for quiet some time, but there was nothing to do so why get out of bed.... ya dig.  We didn't do much and in fact the highlight of the evening was a trip to WaWa for some sandwiches.  Oh, and we (Melanie and I) watched Prayers for Bobby.  Wasn't as good as I hoped, but it wasn't bad.  My wife doesn't like sad stuff so she didn't watch.
Almost forgot... right before I went to sleep that night, around 3ish, Melanie tell s me the computer shut off and for me to put my password in to let her use it.  I go to see it and wouldn't you know, it doesn't work anymore.  I didn't think too much into and and just loaded up the MAC and said use that for the rest of the night.

Sunday... when I went to see what was wrong with the computer... i realized it was more serious and well it was broken.  Now, I don't know if she broke it, but her track record is really bad with breaking things.  I did a little research and I think the power supply in the computer broke and when I went to go see how much the one in my computer was.... well... i almost died.  It was $160.  I did find some cheaper ones, say around $50 and if I get the OK from the guy who built the computer for me, ill just put that in.  Unfortunately he did not pick up his phone or return my call or texts.  JOY.

So instead of loading up a picture of my newest inkblot... my youngest brothers is next.... I am going to have to put the project on hold till the computer is back and running.  Hopefully soon b.c. all my work is on there.  That will teach me not to back up.

Anyway... this weekend sucked.

PS. went to Chucky Cheeses today for the first time.  It was OK... would have been great if I was a kid but still had fun.

Goldfish

Well today I took a day off of job hunting b.c. well I have been looking at the same stuff over and over again. I am going to go to the APPLE store tonight, around 7ish with my father in law and I'll see if they are hiring.

I found out yesterday that the company I went to, and had a reallly good interview with is still having open houses and well it will be about 3weeks before they make there decisions. Sucks big time. So if this APPLE store doesn't work, maybe I'll apply for ALDO at the mall. They are looking for a stock associate, which is all I want to be for now.

Oh a brighter note, I have finished my second inkblot! I am not a fan of it so I will prob go back and change it. I'll show my wife and see what she says. This inkblot is for her. It is a goldfish.

Goldfish is my nickname for my wife. It really is odd how it came out. She has really big eyes, so I use to say they were fish bowls and that I could see goldfish in them. It kinda evolved from there to just goldfish. Funny how nicknames come about sometimes. Either way, I love her and goldfish and well koi fish in general remind me of her.
She didn't really want me to do goldfish to represent her but, well.... we can't all get what we want and it really is what I see when I think of my family. The fall back idea's are teddy bear (her collection) and Superman(everyone knows her for that). Come to think about it, that might had been better, but well...... too bad.
Anyway, I have a house to clean and dinner to make. Enjoy the artwork.

Triumph and Failure

Well just when you think everything is going your way.... life hits you in the balls.

I started one of my inkblot(Rorschach) designs and well I started with myself. I chose to represent myself with a soda can, Pepsi to be exact. If you know me, you know I am a soda(Pepsi) feen. So i started up illustrator, a program I know little about, and started on my way. Thanks to the help of my best friend about two week ago, I was able to fumble my way through it and make, what I think, a good first piece. Here is is:

Anyway, just when I thought today was going my way, I get a email from my freelance guy who wants minor changes. Mind you these changes are minor and brainless. So I endeavour these changes which should take all of 5-10min. Well its be about 3hrs and I still can't get it to work. Don't ask me what is wrong with it. All I have to do is export my flash file into an mov and well the mov keeps changing the timing of my last scene.
ARRRRRRRRRRRRR...
Anyway, I just need a little break and now back to figuring it out again. Enjoy pic 1 or about 23.

Turing over a new leaf... or whatever

Its 2009... as of tomorrow there will be a new president and well, a new sense of hope in the world. I have always thought of myself as a hard working individual and a real go getter until I graduated from college. That is when I stopped being a kid and starting being like everyone else.

I do not by any means think I am a self motivator, so it is hard for me to do work for... well me. I am motivate others as well as preform any task given to me. But doing something for the better meant of myself is a real task.

I told myself that by the end of the month I would have a job. If not in my field (Animation/Multimedia) then at the mall around the corner. I am going to try my very best for now on to do just that. I am also going to start keeping a blog (here) and draw at least something everyday. I figure the easiest thing would be for me to draw the word of the day. Today's word is clarion: (adj) brilliantly clear;loud and clear. By the end of the night, I will have something done and I will work on posting it.

I don't care if anyone reads this, it is more of a self motivator than anything. So here is to day 1.
